The MBA European Management focuses on Europe and international management with an emphasis on behavioural marketing and management. The programme offers flexibility with full-time and part-time options, enabling students to engage in both studies and work. There is also an integrated international week that usually takes place at the University of Valencia. The modular approach allows for tailored study structures, accommodating diverse student needs.
MBA students that choose the MBA European Management acquire specialist knowledge in all areas of modern business management, which is covered in 15 courses in six modules. These include Management Basics, European Basics, Financial Management, Marketing & Management, Operations Management and Behavioural Management. At the end of the programme, students write a Master Thesis on an innovative and relevant topic in management and marketing research.
The MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation imparts scientifically grounded and practice-oriented economic competencies with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation management. The programme specifically prepares students for startup ventures, corporate management, and the leadership of innovation projects, and qualifies graduates for a wide range of roles in companies across all industries or in self-employed entrepreneurial activities. The English-language curriculum combines general management with a specialisation in entrepreneurship and is characterised by a strong practical focus, in-person classes, and transfer-oriented teaching formats.
The degree offers direct support for founders during the start-up process, while also equipping graduates to successfully manage innovation projects within companies, contribute to research and development, or advance corporate spin-offs. Thanks to the programme’s specialised and interdisciplinary competencies and its international orientation, graduates are qualified for diverse professional roles across organisations of all sizes and in various geographical regions.
Career opportunities span entrepreneurship, business management, and the broader economic sector. Both before and after completing the programme, professional pathways are highly diverse; graduates can work in virtually any field or industry, domestically or internationally, and may assume leadership roles or pursue their own entrepreneurial initiatives. The programme is designed for a wide range of target groups, including founders and those interested in founding a business, practitioners, entrepreneurs and employees, as well as PhD students from other disciplines and affiliated institutes.
The entire curriculum of both MBA programmes is offered exclusively in English. All courses can also be booked individually as certified individual courses. The 15 courses are taught as block courses usually from Wednesday to Saturday. The courses are interactive and closely aligned with professional practice, supplemented by case studies, soft skills seminars, and field trips. Enrolment is limited, ensuring direct interaction in all courses between participants and university professors from Germany and Europe, as well as experienced professionals. Guest lectures and practical reports from successful experts in the field enrich the curriculum. Students also benefit from the excellent entrepreneurship ecosystem at Saarland University, which features outstanding partners and infrastructure such as Triathlon.
Students at the EIABM come from all over the world. On their way to taking the lead in global teams, they learn the necessary basics of modern management in the MBA programmes: economic, legal and political strategies as well as essential intercultural aspects, Networking events with experts from the business world offer excellent opportunities to start building up career networks for a successful future right from the beginning of the MBA. EIABM's industry connections and knowledge transfer initiatives, including guest lectures and international study weeks, ensure students receive practical insights and exposure to global business environments. The institute's advisory board fosters ongoing collaboration with local industries, enhancing networking opportunities and industry relevance.

In addition, the University of Saarland’s Career Centre regularly organises attractive events that help students start networking right from the start of their studies.
The University of Saarland’s Welcome Centre and International Office for new students can assist you with any questions regarding your studies with us, such as finding accommodation, visa matters and financing your studies. Further information can be found on their website: https://www.uni-saarland.de/en/international/going/international-office.html and https://www.uni-saarland.de/en/global/welcome-center.
The International Office helps students find accommodation. Rooms and flats are affordable and relatively easy to find. Compared to other major German cities, where it is difficult to find affordable accommodation, Saarbrücken offers a wide range of options within a reasonable timeframe.
Situated right in the heart of Europe, the Institute’s location provides an excellent foundation for international careers. Its unique geographical position in the border triangle of Germany, France and Luxembourg offers graduates of the MBA programme the opportunity to apply for jobs in three different labour markets. The Institute’s geographical advantage enriches the educational and professional landscape and opens up access to a wide range of opportunities within the Saar-Lor-Lux region.
The state capital, Saarbrücken, is the economic and cultural centre of the cross-border SaarMoselle conurbation. As a university, conference, trade fair and shopping city, Saarbrücken is an extremely attractive location for entrepreneurial activities. The city’s status as an economic and cultural centre further enhances the opportunities for entrepreneurial ventures and makes it an attractive destination for students wishing to gain international experience.
